Custom House

Customs House in Dublin

Custom house, Dublin (Ireland) perfectly reflected in the river Liffey on a rare sunny, still day at high tide. This 18th century architectural landmark today houses the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government.

Bay Blinds had the privilege of being involved in the development of The Custom House Visitor Centre, Dublin. Bay Blinds installed screen roller blinds to complement this magnificent historical stately structure and we are proud to have played a small part in the development of this flagship Centre.

The Custom House Visitor Centre features new and interactive exhibits telling the rich history of the building and highlighting its exceptional architecture. The project was funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage with additional investment under Fáilte Ireland’s Strategic Partnership with the OPW.

The stories of the building, burning and restoration of Dublin’s Custom House are now brought to life in a new and fascinating exhibition, revealing a rich, many-layered story that spans over two hundred years and our roller blinds are now proudly hanging in this beautiful space
